Anonymous asked: Why do you like vampires so much? You seem to have many vampires characters.
This may be a surprise to you, but I don’t like vampires as much as one might think, or at least not anymore. I know that’s what one might infer from the vampire OCs I have though.
I was very much into vampires when I was younger, and no, not because of Twilight, but rather the classic gothic stories in which a vampire is in need of the love of a pure, virgin maiden before he can be killed. The earliest incarnation of Rosenreich somewhat followed this. Oh boy. The crazy things my 15-year-old self did.
Twilight and Vampire Knight kind of ruined the vampire love stories for me though with the sheer nonsensical bullshit and the gary-stuness respectively, but I didn’t want to just throw away the heavy vampire themes in the story. At the same time, I needed to try to avoid the human and vampire pairing that has pretty much been forever ruined by Twilight and other vampire teen fiction, as well as the really cheesy things, so then I guess Rosenreich kind of ended up being what it is now with the complex web of stories and more stress on chaos and desperation (overall) than romance.
I also now like making fun of vampires, so I do include some satire. I will probably post what I mean with this slowly but surely…
I hope that was enough of an explanation.
